Design Technology

At. St. John's, we aim to develop a range of skills across the school in Design and Technology. Our aim is to give children the opportunity to evaluate, design, make and evaluate existing or made products. We hope to introduce children to the basic skills in cooking, design, wood work and understanding how different mechanisms work, as well as teaching the knowledge that is required outlined in the National Curriculum. 

As well as seasonal and termly Design and Technology projects, we also arrange for a range of outside agencies, businesses and local community members to come and support and enrich our learning further.
