Relationships and Health Education

We follow the Jigsaw scheme of work for PSE/RSE at St John's. This is a whole-school approach programme with weekly lessons for all children. Jigsaw connects the pieces of Personal, Social, Health and Well-Being Education. The programme we follow teaches children emotional literacy, social- and lifelong skills, RSE/RSHE and resilience in an age-appropriate manner.

PSE is an extremely important part of our curriculum at St John's, as it gives children the vital knowledge they need to build the best possible life. The intention of PSE/RSE is to equip all children with the tools they need to live happier and healthier lives, giving them agency to make their way through the world as they grow into young adults.
