Science

At. St. John's, we aim to provide a range of opportunities for pupils to access the science curriculum. Our aim is to give children the opportunity to observe, record and draw conclusions about the world around them. We hope to introduce children to the basic elements of experiments and investigations and help them become more inquisitive as well as teaching the knowledge that is required outlined in the National Curriculum. 

As well as weekly science lessons in all year groups, we also arrange for a range of outside agencies, businesses and local community members to come and enrich our learning

At St. John's we follow the National curriculum objectives that are linked to topic themes found in the curriculum overview we have also begun to introduce a nature based science curriculum across the school.
