Reading

Reading is a huge part of our every day curriculum and we encourage the children to read as much as they can. Our library always stocked with books from hundreds of different authors and multiple genres so you can always find something that you will enjoy reading! We raise funds for new books in classes and the library by holding Book Fairs and also running a Book Club. 

Children take home reading records and write down how much they are reading at home each week. This year our reading challenge is to gain stickers to reach a Gold, Silver or Bronze award and there are also additional challenges for extra House Points. 

Over the last two Years our Book Fairs run in October have raised over a £1000 to spend on new books in school. Thank you to everyone who comes along to support the events.
